I have set this site up as a hobby to run a hypothetical football league which contains the two best performing teams from ten selected leagues in the world from the 2016-2017 season, to compete in an ultimate league to see which team is the best.
The ten leagues are:
Unfortunately, the selection process means that we miss such heavy hitting teams as Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Lyon, Marseille and Borussia Dortmund. If this is successful, then I would like to run more hypothetical leagues for different seasons where the traditional heavy hitters might end up as champions or runners up for their respective leagues.
The settings to run the simulation are as follows:
- Simulations run on Fifa 18,
- Match length = 2 x 5 minute halves,
- Legendary AI,
- Yellow Cards/Red Cards/Offsides all active,
- Injuries and suspensions are not included (due to the administrative headache to implement).
Each team will play each other twice; one at home, and once away from home. I will be recording the following statistics (so that we can get a proper analysis done at the end of the season):
- Points gained, Wins, Draws and Losses,
- Goals Scored, including Goalscorers,
- Total Shots, and Shots on Target per player,
- Total Passes, and successful Passes per player,
- Total Dribbles, and successful Dribbles per player,
- Total Crosses, and successful Crosses per player,
- Saves and Clean Sheets,
- Team Possession,
- Team Shot Accuracy,
- Team Pass Accuracy.
For each match day, I will be providing the league table, videos for all match simulations, and the players with the most goals and assists.
